Barbara Jean Peterson

Peterson, Barbara J. (nee Overby) Age 76, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 26, 2021. Born & raised in Minneapolis, attended Washburn High and the University of MN. Married Tom Peterson in 1967 after meeting on a blind date. Barb worked for Consulting Radiologists, retiring in 2007. Long time member of Richfield Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the cabin, and volunteering at various charities. Survived by husband, Tom; sons, Brad (Stefanie) and their children, Emma & Mason, Chris (Pam) and their children, Jay, Brandon, & Fisher; friends & family. A living definition of the word "kind", Barb loved everyone unconditionally & demonstrated that daily throughout her life. She will be remembered for helping animals & people. She contributed to the Animal Humane Society amongst many others. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Humane Society, any animal charity of your choice, or the Leukemia Lymphoma Society.
