Barbara Jean Powers
Barbara J. Powers, age 57 of Conneautville, PA, reached out to take the hand of God early morning, Saturday, August 2, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.
Barbie was born on March 13, 1968, in Erie, PA. The daughter of the late David and Patricia (Parmeter) Billings. She grew up in the Girard area, graduating from Girard High School in 1986. On November 3rd, 1990, she married Mark R. Powers, together they were blessed with their son, Luke Powers. Although Mark passed in 1995, she continued to love him and keep his memory alive. She retired from SCI Cambridge Springs, where she was part of the team for over 20 years of service. Barb was an active member of the North Meadville Church of Christ. Her uplifting spirit, smile and laugh leaving a lasting impression on the congregation as well as her community.
She enjoyed crafting and refurbishing old furniture she would find from thrift stores and yard sales. She loved animals. She rescued countless cats, bunnies and various other “critters” but above all else her dogs; Ruger and Tonka, her faithful companions who were always by her side.
Besides her parents and her husband, Barb was preceded in death by a sister, Becky Sabol and two brothers: Davey Billings and Jimmy Schultz.
She is survived by her son, her in-laws, many nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
A Celebration of life will be held at a time to be announced.
