Gary J. Ryan, of Erie, passed away on Wednesday August 27, 2025, at UPMC Hamot.
He was born in Erie, PA on August 1, 1950, a son of the late Donald and Agnes Falderoff Ryan.
Gary graduated from Girard High School in 1968 and went on to serve in the United States Navy on the USS Intrepid. He worked as an Engineer for many years at Copes Vulcan and was a van driver for Solvedt Enterprises.
He was a member of the Fairview American Legion, Christian Motorcycle Association and McLane Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and loved his pets.
Gary is survived by his daughters; Lydia Cotter of Brooklyn, NY; Andrea Ward and her husband David of Millcreek; and Katie Ryan and her husband Sam Morrison of Cleveland; three grandchildren; Nathaniel Ward, Elaina Ward and Julia Ward; a sister, Kathy Remmel and her husband Charles of Portland, ME; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services held at the convenience of the family, arrangements entrusted to Burton Funeral Home, Girard.
