Obituary published on Legacy.com by Southern Utah Mortuary - Beaver from Aug. 6 to Aug. 7, 2022.
Barbara Lee (Waldrip) Richmond, 93, passed away on Thursday morning, July 21, 2022 at the Long Term Care Center in Beaver, Utah. She was born December 15, 1928 in Los Angeles, California to Walter Thomas Waldrip and Leola Frances (Reeder) Waldrip. She was raised at the beaches and went to school in Los Angeles County, California. She was married to John Calvin Richmond on June 10, 1945 in Los Angeles, California.

They both loved children, animals and nature, wanting to establish their own loving dynasty of children and grandchildren. She was called Nona and he was called Papa. She was an excellent secretary and interior decorator. She was always creative and started painting in oils about 35. She loved music, movies, concerts, bowling, dancing, walking and camping in mountains, sunsets and clouds, drives with no destination in mind, pets, holidays and family. Barbara was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, aunt, cousin and friend. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, twinkly blue eyes, her generous and caring nature. Her daughter Linda would say she bloomed wherever she was planted.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 1/2 years, John Calvin Richmond, her son, John Michael Richmond, her parents, Walter Thomas Waldrip and Leola Francis (Reeder) Waldrip, her brother, Leslie Ray Waldrip, and her sister, Shirley Ann Waldrip.

She is survived by her daughter, Carol Lee (Richmond) Pister and Victor Leroy Pister; her daughter Linda Jean (Richmond) Smith and Benjamin Clark Smith; and her son, Brian Patrick Richmond.
