of Narragansett, Rhode Island passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 11, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.
Barbara was the beloved wife of Michael A. Rocchio for 61 beautiful years.
Born in Providence, Rhode Island to the late John and Nicolina (Cimino) Corsini.
In her career, Barbara worked briefly for Balfour in North Attleboro, Massachusetts as an office clerk. She then began a 33 year long career working for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of RI; her many positions included office clerk, secretary to the manager of Blue Cross business accounts and later secretary to the Executive Director (President) and Human Resource Manager before retiring.
Upon retirement, Michael and Barbara enjoyed traveling with many trips to Italy as one of her favorites. Barbara was completely family oriented, she was an exceptional cook who thoroughly enjoyed bringing her family together with her delicious meals.
She enjoyed painting and gardening, always making her home beautiful with her special touches. Barbara loved her family more than words can say. She was a proud grandmother, a selfless person always putting others first, never forgetting a birthday or milestone quietly showing that she cared. She was a truly remarkable human being.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband Michael A. Rocchio; her daughter, Donna M. Rocchio-Wright of North Providence; her son Michael Rocchio and his wife Kathy of Saunderstown; her grandchildren, Nicholas and Cailyn Rocchio; her sister, Beverly (Corsini) Tsonos and her husband Nicholas of Lincoln; her sister-in-law, Susan Corsini of Florida and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was predeceased by her parents, her brother, John M. Corsini and her son-in-law Jonathan A. Wright.
Her funeral will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at 9am from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory - SOUTH COUNTY CHAPEL, 1111 Boston Neck Road, (Rt. 1A), Narragansett followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in St. Veronica Chapel, 1035 Boston Neck Road, Narragansett. Entombment in St. Ann Cemetery, Garden Mausoleum, Cranston. VISITING HOURS Wednesday from 4-7pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN. 38105
