Barbara Saverse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels & Cremation Services on Mar. 12, 2023.
Barbara E. (Dolloff) Saverse, 84, of Enfield, beloved wife of 61 years to the late George A. "Chuck" Saverse, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family on Friday, March 10, 2023. Daughter of the late Levi Dolloff and Nettie Grace (Bennett) Haynes, she was born in Plymouth, New Hampshire on August 10, 1938.
Barbara held a number of professions throughout her career, however, there was nothing more important than being a wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara loved spending quality time with her family, because family wasn't just an important thing, it was EVERYTHING to her! She also enjoyed Foxwoods casino, summer concerts, bowling, bingo, tag-sales and thrift shopping, watching movies on Hallmark and Lifetime, country music (especially Kenny Rogers), her newfound love of Corn hole and LCR, and spending time with her lifelong-best friends Joan and Andy. Barbara's family would like to extend a special thank you to the 9th floor & ICU staff at St. Francis Hospital, and the hospice staff at Visiting Nurse and Health Services of CT for their kind and compassionate care.
Barbara is survived by her four children, MaryJo Tellier and her husband, Don, Jacki Saverse, and John Saverse, all of Enfield, and Steve Saverse of Ellington; three beloved grandchildren, Michael and Crystal Tellier and Rachel Saverse; three great grandchildren, Savannah Crosby, and Alannah and Meah Tellier; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and In-laws. She was predeceased by her son, George M. Saverse, her sister Lenna M. Hammond (Bennett), and her brothers Gilbert E. Dolloff and Robert F. Dolloff, and Max, her loving fur-child.
Barbara's family will receive relatives and friends from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm on Friday, March 17, 2023 at Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, with a funeral service taking place at 1:30 pm. Burial will follow in Hazardville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Barbara's memory may be made to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, PO Box 22324, New York, NY 10087, or MSPCA-Angell, Attn: Donations, 350 South Huntington Ave, Boston, MA 02130.
