Barbara Schultz
"Tinker"
January 7, 1947 – June 10, 2022
Barb Schultz, passed away into God's graces after a difficult battle with cancer. With smiles until the end, passed away at 75 years old. She was surrounded by those she loved and the many she touched. Barb requested a cremation and a Celebration of Life.
Barbara (Tinerella) Schultz of Stevens Point, WI was born in Chicago, IL to James and Helen (Bozek) Tinerella. Barb graduated high school in Chicago in 1965 and briefly attended college. She loved working with numbers and was a bookkeeper for over 50 years. In 1976, Barb and family moved from McHenry, IL to Junction City, WI to open Trapper John's Rustic Saloon which she owned and managed for many years. Most recently, she was doing the books for the Plover VFW.
Barb was married to John "Trapper" Schultz for 32 years. They met at a drum and bugle corps show while they were still in high school and got married as soon as John returned home from Vietnam in 1969. They continued to live in the Chicago area until they moved to Junction City in 1976. They had three wonderful children that they raised together that all live back in the Stevens Point area. Soon after their divorce in 2007, Barb met Jim Cline on a dating app and soon became the love of her life. They spent the last 13 years of their lives together and enjoyed the happiness they found with each other. Jim brought new passions into her life including traveling, restoring and showing old cars, and getting involved with the VFW.
She enjoyed raising her children, being a mom to all her kids' friends, cuddling her dog Taffy, taking her restored '67 Mustang to shows, traveling with her RV, crafting, and spending time with her friends at the Plover VFW. She was very social and enjoyed meeting new people and was always delighted to lend a helping hand to anyone.
Barb was predeceased by her parents, James & Helen and her love and soulmate, James Cline.
Barb is survived by her sister, Marlene (Tinerella) Robinson of Lake Zurich, IL, her three children: John (Kari) Schultz of Stevens Point, Bryan Schultz of Plover, and Michelle (Brad) Schultz-Wilson of Stevens Point, and her five grandchildren: John "JD", Olivia, Dakota, Austin and Lucas.
A Celebration of Life will take place on July 2, 2022 at the Plover VFW. Celebration begins at Noon, service at 1:00 pm with a meal to follow. Donations may be made to the Plover VFW in lieu of flowers.
