Barbara Shaffer Obituary

Barbara J. Shaffer passed away peacefully at the age of 83, with family by her side on Wednesday, February 22, 2023. Barbara was the wife of the late William (Bill) Shaffer and loving mother of Rita Jones (Gary), Karla St Louis (Michael), Shannan Storck (David) and Sarah Shaffer. She was preceded in death by her beloved son Jack Shaffer, sister Jackie, son-in law David Stork, grandson Travis Jones and great granddaughter Alyssa. Barbara was the loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren, Travis, Jill, Christopher and Stacey Jones and Emily, Erin, Abbey and Joey Storck. She also was the very proud Busia to five great- grandchildren, Carson, Spencer and Clara Dorton and Skyla and Alyssa Dennehy. Barbara was known to be a kind and compassionate friend not only to her own friends but to many of her children's friends. She loved classic movies, collecting recipes and watching the cooking channel. She loved finding new recipes for her daughters to make for her. While she was raising her children, she was very active in the St. Alfred's Catholic community and school. Barbara's life will be celebrated by family and friends and her memory will live on always.
