Barbara Silva

Barbara Silva (Nieto) passed away peacefully on 06/21/2025 at Palm Gardens of Tampa in Tampa Florida. She blessed this world with her beautiful presence on 09/21/1953 in Havana Cuba.
Barbara was a loving wife to the late Aleido Silva and was the most wonderful mother to 4 amazing children, Michelle Sanabria, Elieser Nieto, Daniel Silva and the late Juan Nieto. Survived by 9 grandchildren Natalia, Ellie, Adrian, Arturo, Ariana, Tino, Sebastian, Mila and Samantha as well as her children in love (in-law) Israel Sanabria and Victoria Nieto.
She died at the age of 71 and lived every second of her life as a fighter as she battled the long term effects of Diabetes. Despite her recent and quick decline in health, Barbara kept high spirits and brought warmth to every life she touched.
She worked as a bilingual aide for many years and built so many wonderful friendships over the course of her teaching career and will not be easily forgotten. Go Bellamy Bobcats! She took so much pride in the work she did and the children she helped.
Barbara had a long time love for and even collected lighthouse ornaments. She was also very creative and used to make her own homemade jewelry. No one is or will ever be quite like her. She was the life of the party and will be missed deeply. We love you and can't wait to see you again.
