Margaret F. Perez, age 92, of Tampa, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 17, 2025, just one day shy of her 93rd birthday. She was born on October 18, 1932, in Tampa, Florida, to the late Jose and Generosa Fernandez.
Margaret was born and raised in Ybor City, where she later met and married the love of her life, her late husband Oscar Perez, who preceded her in death on January 24, 2019. Together, they enjoyed many years of membership with the German American Club, dancing, and spending time together at the Hard Rock Casino.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her daughter Lisa Robinson of Spring Hill, FL; three grandchildren, Michael Ferrera, Sara (Luigi) Alvarez, and Alex (Kari Venose) Robinson; six great-grandchildren, Xavier, Sophia, Allareigh, Ariana, Ezra, and Legend; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter Cynthia Spencer and her three siblings, Tino Fernandez, Carmen Chavez, and Josephine Barrs.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 5:00–8:00 p.m. at Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation Service, 4601 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, FL 33603. Cremation will follow per Margaret's request.
Memorial contributions in Margaret's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Arrangements are under the direction of Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation Service.
