Barbara A. “Barb” Stephens, 86, of Benton, Wisconsin, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at St. Patrick’s Church, Benton, Wisconsin, with Fr. David Flanagan officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9-10:15 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Casey-McNett Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Cuba City, Wisconsin, is assisting the family.

Barb was born on March 30, 1938 in Galena, Illinois, the daughter of LaVerne and Aleath (Heller) Holland. She was united in marriage to Charles B. “Chuck” Stephens on July 19, 1958 at St. Mary’s Church in Galena, Illinois. He preceded her in death on August 24, 2013.

Barb attended St. Mary’s Catholic School and Galena High School. She attended cosmetology school in Dubuque, Iowa for 18 months. Her first job was as a hair dresser in Freeport, Illinois. Once she moved to Benton, Barb owned her own hair salon in her house called “Barb’s Clip & Curl”. Barb was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Benton and volunteered throughout the years. She was also a founding member of Cole Acres Golf Course in Cuba City. Barb enjoyed golfing, crocheting, cake decorating, ceramic making and was a dedicated Wisconsin Badger and Packer fan. Barb was a loving wife, an amazing mother, and a wonderful grandmother. Her joy and kindness brought happiness to everyone around her.

Survivors include her son David Charles (Jeanice) Stephens of Aurora, Illinois and daughter Vicki Marie (Rob) Pagnucci of Windsor, Wisconsin; three grandchildren Jordan Stephens, Bradley Pagnucci, and Courtney (Brad) Pribyl; a sister-in-law, Clarice Holland; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Stephens; her daughter, Debra Ann Stephens; her parents, Verne and Aleath Holland; her brother Wayne Holland; her sister Colleen (Charles) Schleicher; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Delbert and Catherine Stephens.

Memorials in Barb’s name may be sent to the funeral home at 123 N. Jackson St., Cuba City, WI, 53807.

The family wishes to thank the staffs of Oak Park Place and Agrace Hospice for their care of Barb.
