Barbara A. Stokes

Barbara A. Stokes (Limbert), 79, of Hyde Park, New York died on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck with her family beside her after battling several years of illness.
Born, August 30, 1942, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Leslie H. Wiands and Mary L. Tuttle Wiands.
Upon graduating FDR High School in 1960, she was employed with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in Washington D.C.
Barbara worked for the Hyde Park Central School district for many years before her retirement in the late 1980; s, she then went on to work for Dr. Khan as a Secretary for 9 years before her finally retiring in 2003.
On August 12, 1962, she married Donald E. Limbert of Bridgeport, Conneticut.
Barbara was a communicant of St. Peters Parish in Hyde Park, and a Life long member and past president of Ladies Auxiliary for the VFW Post #170.
She is survived by her three children, Mary Ann Relyea, Donald E. Limbert, Jr.(Evelyn) and Michele L Limbert (Corey);10 grandchildren, Ashley Skinnider, Heather Mokgoatsane, C.J. Relyea, Rebecca Relyea, Kirstin Gray, Kaitlyn Haley, Christina Limbert, Courtney Haley, Sean and Brandon Ryu and 3 great grandchildren, and numerous stepchildren and step grandchildren.
She is also survived by her brother Leslie J. Wiands.
Calling hours will be from 4 PM to 7 PM, on Tuesday, June 7th, at Sweet's Funeral Home, 4365 Albany Post Rd. Hyde Park, NY 12538.
A Funeral Service will be at 10 AM on June 8th at Sweet's Funeral Home, Rte. 9, Hyde Park, NY 12538.
Burial will follow at the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, NY.
