Barbara Ann Whitehorn Tapp, age 70, passed away peacefully at her home on November, 13, 2024, after a brief illness. She was born on November 29, 1953, to the late Harold Whitehorn, and Janie Brownlee Whitehorn.
After graduating high school in 1972 from West Union Attendance Center, she worked for many years at Action Furniture. She was also a successful business owner of Blue Mountain One Stop and later retired from New Albany Elementary School System. She was especially known for her many talents to include crafting, sewing, and cooking. She also enjoyed working in her flowers and spending time with family. She was an active member of Cornersville Community Church where she served as a youth Sunday school teacher.
She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James "Butch" Tapp. She is survived by her sons, Keith Coffey (Kim), Bradley Coffey, Jeffrey Coffey (Johnna), and Jason Coffey (Melissa); her sisters, Sherry Wilson (Steve), and Janice Hill (David), and her step-mother, Ann Whitehorn; nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
A private graveside service including family and close friends, will take place on Monday, November 18, 2024, at 2:00 pm at Ebenezer Methodist Church Cemetery in Hickory Flat, MS, with Bro. Jonathan Cagle and Bro. Marty Merritt officiating
