Barbara J. Tusing

Barbara J. Tusing, of Woodhull, IL passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at Trinity Rock Island. The Celebration of Life Service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Peterson-Wallin-Knox Funeral Home in Woodhull. Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until the service time. Barbara was born September 20, 1947 in Moline, Illinois to Richard and Alice Stead Seaton. She graduated from AlWood High School. Barbara married Daniel R. Tusing October 30, 1999 in Woodhull, Illinois.

Barbara was employed at the Farmers State Bank in Alpha. She was later employed as a bookkeeper in the operation of the family business Tusing Plumbing Heating and Electric in Woodhull. Barbara enjoyed golfing, quilting, knitting, coloring, and spending time with her family especially her grandkids.

Survivors include her husband: Dan; two daughters: Rhonda Ryan of Galesburg, IL and Paula Shumaker of Woodhull, IL; one son: William “Billy” Johnson of Galesburg; two stepsons: Mark Tusing of Normal, IL and Kevin Tusing of San Francisco, CA; grandchildren, Danielle, Luke, Haley, Tyler, Alyssa, Addy, and Anna; 4 great grandchildren; one brother: David Seaton of Prophetstown, IL; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister: Carol.
