Barbara A. Tusing

Barbara A. Tusing, 85, of Green Springs, OH passed away on February 23, 2026 at The Willows at Bellevue. She was born on December 20, 1940 the daughter of John Oliver and Mary Ellen (Swartz) Fleming. Barb married James Dise on June 22, 1957 in Milan, OH. She then married Donald L. Tusing, Sr. on November 21, 1977 in Donaldsonville, GA and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2018.

Barb worked at Whirlpool Corporation for fifteen years until she retired. She was a member of Green Springs United Methodist Church and the Finger Pickers Quilt Guild. Barb enjoyed camping, traveling, clogging, quilting, crocheting and had a strong faith.

Barb is survived by her daughters, Debra Ann (David) Merrell, Castalia, OH, Lori Ann Thomas, Festus, MO, Teresa Ann Summers, Sandusky, OH, Jean Ann (Scott Berger) Gerber, Bellevue, OH; sister, Margaret Jane Jackson; twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; step-children, Christina Lee Brown of Georgia and Donald L. “DJ” (Monica) Tusing, Jr. Tiffin, OH and numerous step-grandchildren and step-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, James Dise and Donald Tusing; brothers, Edward Fleming, Richard Fleming; sons-in-law, Steve Thomas and Douglas Summers; nephew, Antony DeSanto, step-son-in-law, Richard Brown.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Horvath Hanes Funeral Home and Crematory, 211 N Broadway St., Green Springs, OH.

A funeral service will take place on Friday, March 6, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will follow at York Free Chapel, Bellevue, OH.
