Barbara Jane Tyler, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at her home in Dublin, Texas surrounded by loved ones, following a 38-year battle with metastatic breast cancer. She was born on January 25, 1945, in Rock Springs, Wyoming, to John Buford Shaw and Helen Marie Hartzendorf Shaw.
Barbara was a woman of exceptional kindness and talent. With her loving nature, friendly demeanor, and sense of humor, she made lasting connections with all who had the pleasure of crossing her path. She truly is leaving a legacy of beauty that will be cherished for generations.
After graduating with an associate's degree, Barbara channeled her passion for art into a fulfilling career. She was not only an accomplished artist but also an active member of her community, where she was revered for her contributions and warm, engaging personality. Her artwork, a true reflection of her soul, brought joy and inspiration to many. Barbara had a deep faith and was prepared to be delivered into the arms of her savior.
Barbara's family was the center of her universe. She was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her adoring children, Shawn Marie Tyler and her fiancé Trent, Christy Loree Segit and her husband David, and JD Tyler. Her sister Carolyn Marie Shaw Shell and her husband Richard also share in the family's loss, cherishing the memories of a beloved sibling. Barbara's role as a grandmother was one she embraced with all her heart, showering love upon her grandchildren, Brittany Beth Heredliska, Colton Layne Tyler and his wife Christina, Hunter Pate, Rylan Anthony Tyler, Layel Rodgers, and Daxlynn Tyler. Her great-grandchildren Evalee Loree Tyler, Tate Stanley Tyler and Wren Marie Heredliska who will soon enter this world the middle of October. Her grandchildren will grow up hearing tales of their great-grandmother's warmth and zest for life. Barbara will also be fondly remembered by her nieces Karen Marie Shell and Kathryn Rose Moore. Barbara's life was a masterpiece, painted with broad strokes of loving kindness and the finer details of friendly gestures and creative expression.
