Barbara "Barb" Lee Williams, born on August 11, 1943, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on January 8, 2025, in Vandalia, Ohio.
Barb graduated from Stebbins High School and went on to have a fulfilling career at a mortgage title agency with PNC, where she dedicated many years of service before retiring. Her work ethic was matched only by her warmth and generosity, both of which endeared her to colleagues and friends alike.
A woman of many interests, Barb was an ardent follower of her faith and was actively involved in various church groups, where she touched countless lives. Her personality was undeniably vibrant; she had an ornery charm that made her a joy to be around. Known for her love of colorful sparkly clothing and an abundance of jewelry, Barb always presented herself with a flair for the dramatic. Her makeup was always impeccably done, and she greeted everyone with a smile that could light up any room.
Barb had a deep love for life that extended beyond her appearance. She cherished her time spent shopping, connecting with people, and pursuing her hobbies, which included crafting. She had a soft spot for animals, particularly dogs and cats, making her home a welcoming haven for her furry friends.
She leaves behind her cherished daughter, Sheri Hayes, and beloved grandson, Haven Hayes. Barb is also survived by her dear brother, Butch Harris, and two sisters, Jean Sprayer and Lela Seavers, along with many other relatives and friends.
Barb was preceded in death by her father, Ellsworth Harris, Sr., her mother, Almeda Harris, her brother, Ellsworth Harris, Jr., and her sisters, Dorothy Moore and Margaret Willis.
Barbara “Barb” Lee Williams will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and community will continue to resonate in the hearts of those she touched.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 from 12:30-1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, Ohio, 45424. The service will follow at 1:30pm. Barb will be laid to rest at Bethel West Cemetery.
