Barbara (Mimi) Jane Williams, age 75, of Monroeville, NJ unexpectedly passed away on April 2, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on April 27, 1949 in Bridgeton to Robert and the late Addie Turner of Aldine, NJ, Barbara graduated from Woodstown High School in 1967 and was a faithful member of Friendship United Methodist Church in Monroeville. Barbara proudly worked at Kernan's Greenhouse for several years while raising her children. After that she provided care for a good portion of the community's children in her own home for many years, affectionately being called Mimi by everyone. She helped provide care for two very special ladies, Kathy and Judy, after retiring from watching children. Barbara was an avid quilter, enjoyed sewing and had a great love of all flowers and houseplants. Her greatest joy was her family. She loved the cruises, trips, and Florida vacations that they took. Sunday family dinners and being with her great-grandchildren brought her much joy.
Barbara is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 55 years, Howard Williams. Her children Dawn Lewis (Lance) and H. R. Williams. Her granddaughters and great grandchildren Kyra Ilacqua (Ben), Jaxon and Giada, and Rene Williams, Josephine, Kayd and Santino.
Predeceased by her mother Addie Turner, Barbara is also survived by her father Robert Turner, along with sisters Suzann Harris (Russell), Brenda Wynn, Cindy Mourning and Kay Jones (Rocky), sister-in-law Margo Crawford (Mike) and brother-in-law Edward Williams as well as many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at the Elmer Grange, 535 Daretown Road, Elmer, NJ 08318. There will be a memorial visitation starting at 10 AM, leading to the memorial service at 12 Noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that contributions be made in Barbara's memory to Friendship United Methodist Church, 149 Friendship Road, Monroeville, NJ 08343. www.adamsfuneralhome.org
