Barbara Williams

LANCASTER, SC ~ Mrs. Barbara Ruth Goins Williams, age 89, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2025. She was born November 12, 1936, in Garden City, SC, daughter of the late James Goins and the late Mildred Chappell Goins and was the wife of the late Gerald Lee Williams. Mrs. Williams loved the beach but mostly enjoyed being at home with family. She loved her church, Mt. Zion Baptist in Great Falls, SC where she enjoyed working in the kitchen cooking for VBS and also served on the bereavement committee.

Mrs. Williams is survived by her son, Terry Granger (Terri); her daughter, Toni Looper; daughter-in-law, Gail Granger; six grandchildren, Mandy Boone, Lee Collins (Sarah), Joni Collins, Jamie Granger (Heather), Leighann Campbell (Robert), Casey Small; eight great grandchildren, Logan Granger, Ava Campbell, Eason Campbell, Savannah Harris, Chance Harris, Jackson Benfield, Luke Granger, and Palmer Granger; four great-great grandchildren, Madison and Taylor Wrenn, and Marissa and Payten Shipley; and one great-great-great grandchild, Paisley Wilson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lee Williams; two sons, Hal Granger and Larry Granger; her great grandson, Cody Wrenn; her parents, James and Mildred Goins; and brother, Lester Goins.

The Celebration of Life Service for Mrs. Williams will be 3:00 pm Sunday, January 4, 2026, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Great Falls, SC officiated by Rev. Luke Dickson. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm – 3:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, in the sanctuary. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Great Falls, SC.
