Barbara Ann (Ross) Wilson of New Waverly, Texas will be held on Friday, May 9, 2025 at 12:00 p.m. in The Chapel at Conroe Funeral Directors with Jeremy Kutchey officiating.
Barbara Ann (Ross) Wilson was born on July 26, 1937, in Laurel, Mississippi to Bernard and Christine Ross. She passed away peacefully on Friday, May 2, 2025 in Conroe, Texas at age of 87. Barbara lived in Splendora for many years before eventually settling in New Waverly. She loved shopping at Walmart, but her greatest joy came from tending to her beautiful garden. Strong and independent, Barbara wasn't afraid to shoot snakes, and after being bitten once, she even drove herself to the hospital. Clever and quick-thinking, she preferred wasp spray over mace for protection-just one of the many ways she showed her unique spirit and sharp wit.
Barbara's legacy is one of love, she will be deeply missed but never forgotten.
Survived by her loving family:
Son, Paul E. Wilson Jr. and wife, Tracy
Daughter, Judy Apgar
Son, Ricky Wilson
Son, Donald Wilson and partner, Judy
18 grandchildren,
24 great grandchildren
3 great-great grandchildren
Preceded in death by:
Husbands, Paul E. Wilson and Robert Lee Bozarth
Parents, Bernard and Christine Ross
