She earned a few Rose Awards during that time for going above and beyond in her role. Barb was a Cub Scout leader and coached girls softball leading them to a championship. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Plainfield. Her memories will live in the hearts of all that love her. She will be greatly missed. Barbara was preceded in death by her sons: Charles Kevin Wright, Gerald Franklin Wright, and Brian Keith Wright; a brother, Eldon Morris; a grandchild, Geoffrey Franklin Wright; and a great grandchild, Audree Ray Roberson. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Randolph Wayne Wright (Sara); grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Newby (David), Gerald Thomas Wright (Sara Beth), Alexandria Jayne Wright (Kyle Reed), Zachariah Morris Wright, and Timothy Randolph Wright (Abbie); great grandchildren, Claire and Caleb Newby, Shiloh and Chloe Wright, and Brynlee Henderson; her brother, Lewis Morris (Ann); as well as extended family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 7, 2025 at 1:00 pm in Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home, Plainfield, where family and friends may call from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association-Greater Indianapolis Chapter, at www.alz.org/indiana to support their research for individuals and families, affected by Alzheimer’s disease. The family would like to extend an enormous thank you to Brighton Hospice and the CNA’s and QMA’s at Independence Village of Avon who provided mom with excellent care and compassion. We are forever grateful for them.
