Michael David Bowermaster, 55, of Plainfield, was born on March 24, 1970 to the late Earl and Dorothy Bowermaster. He was the youngest son of 7 children. Michael was preceded in death by Steven, Kenneth and his beloved parents. He worked at Oakrite Manufacturing and was the gate keeper at Maple Hill Cemetery for many years. Mike was a gentle giant, known by all as the most kind hearted guy you would ever meet. He enjoyed good jokes, rock collecting and scary tales. Michael wrote many stories, most of which included vampires. He loved his Beagles, family and his life long best friend, Brandy Wesley. She was his most precious and treasured rock. Their unwavering support and love is what all friendships should be made of. Memorial services will be held on Monday, January 19, 2026 at Hampton-Gentry Funeral Home beginning at 7:00 pm, where family and friends may visit from 5:00 pm until time of services. Survivors include his brothers, Earl Bowermaster and John Bowermaster; sisters, Susan (Ron) Asher and Donna (John) Cole.
