Barry Dwayne Dunn, 53, of 1014B Deep Run Lane, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 15, 2025, in his home where he was being cared for by family.
Born in Hampton, VA on September 28, 1971, Barry was the son of the late James Thomas Dunn, Sr. and Katherine Lee Bailey Phipps. A retired floor sander with McClenney Floor Service where he had been employed for 18 years, he was a member of Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church and a past member of both the Woodland Fire Department and Woodland E.M.S. where he served for two years.
Surviving is his wife of 20 years, Jennifer Halfhill Dunn; two brothers, Tommy Dunn (Karen) of Askewville and George Dunn of Murfreesboro; a nephew, Gilbert Dunn; and by many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in Faith Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be conducted by Pastors Danny Gurganus and Rick Lowery. Burial will follow in Beaver Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family in the church fellowship hall the hour prior to the services on Thursday and all other times at the residence.
