ASHEVILLE - Barry Moore, age 80, passed away Saturday February 14, 2026. Barry, a native of Mississsippi, has lived in Asheville for 10 years. He is survived by his wife Debbie, a daughter Dr. Lorie Valentino (Herb McCauley), a son Dr. Robert Moore (wife Ruby) and two granddaughters (Ava and Kate). A sister, Carolyn Belvin.
Barry had a career in retail, having worked at Sears and Macys. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University and was an avid football fan. He was much loved, had a great sense of humor, and will be greatly missed.
His love of the outdoors and his kindness continue to live in this world being instilled in his children and thru this act passed down to the benefit of other people and animals who he never met.
