Bart Van Buren

Bart Van Buren, age 46 of Watertown, passed away unexpectedly at home from a heart condition on Wednesday, November 19, 2025.

Bart Van Buren was born in Waupun on October 7, 1979, the son of Kevin and Debbie (Jones) Van Buren. He was a graduate of Waupun High School, class of 1998, and pursued his passion for graphic design at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, earning a four year degree.

Bart enjoyed a variety of jobs throughout his career but truly found his passion in graphic design while working at Energizer in Madison. He was also a self-taught guitar player, developing his skills over the years and becoming quite talented. Bart had a deep appreciation for music, drawing, and art, alongside a strong dedication to sports, especially the Green Bay Packers. His greatest joy, however, was spending time with his sons. His love for them and his passions in life inspired his sons in many ways, with Isaac becoming a talented artist and Joe following his enthusiasm for sports.

He is survived by his children, Isaac and Joseph Van Buren; his parents, Kevin and Debbie Van Buren; his brother, Ben (April) Van Buren; sister, Beth (Eric) Vergith; his good friend, Jessica Van Buren, and further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

A gathering to celebrate Bart's life will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025 at Werner Harmsen Funeral Home in Waupun from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. A private family service will be held.
