Batoul "Montazem" Dooman

Batoul "Betty" (Montazem) Dooman, 95, of New Britain, wife of the late Wilson Dooman, passed away Saturday (November 8, 2025) at the Hospital of Central CT in New Britain. Born in Teheran, Iran, she lived in New Britain since 1970. Betty worked at GE in Plainville for 20 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of St. Thomas Assyrian Holy Apostolic Church of the East in New Britain. Betty was a vibrant and loving soul, filling her days enriching the lives of her family and friends with empathy and laughter.

Besides her husband Wilson, she was predeceased by two sons, Michael Dooman and Nelson Dooman. Surviving are 5 grandchildren, Daniel Dooman of New Britain; Shonna Dooman of Las Vegas, NV; Elissa Heape and her husband Michael of Atlanta, GA; Colin and Jack Dooman, both of Madison; a great granddaughter, Lennox Heape; and two daughters in law, Sheila Lavey of Madison; and Bella Dooman of New Britain.

Funeral services are Friday (Nov 14, 2025) 11 AM at St. Thomas Assyrian Holy Apostolic Church, 120 Cabot Street, New Britain. Calling hours are at the church Friday morning from 10 to 11 AM. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, New Britain. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Thomas Assyrian Holy Apostolic Church.
