Baxter Dorayn Madaris

February 1, 1963 – February 3, 2026

Baxter Dorayn Madaris, 63, of Rossville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2026. Born on February 1, 1963, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, he was the beloved son of the late John Baxter and Effie Evelyn Madaris, and he spent his life in the Chattanooga Valley area. Dorayn found joy in watching NASCAR races, hunting for great deals on Temu, and picking out new watches. He loved wearing his overalls and enjoying quality time with his family, especially teasing his two sisters and sharing laughs. His loyal dog, Buffy, was his constant companion and brought him so much happiness. Everyone who knew Dorayn cherished him deeply, and he will be missed more than words can say.

Dorayn is preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Madaris, and his parents, John Baxter and Effie Evelyn Madaris.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Dylan Madaris of Rossville, Georgia; his sisters, Daphney (Tim) Scoggins of Rossville, Georgia, and Denise Laneve of Chattanooga, Tennessee; his grandson, Daniel; and several nieces and nephews.

The family invites friends and loved ones to join us in remembering and honoring Dorayn on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 10:30 a.m. until the service at 12:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held immediately after the visitation at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, February 6, 2026. Thank you for the prayers and support. They mean a lot to us during this challenging time, and we genuinely appreciate them.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to your favorite charity in loving memory of Dorayn.
