Beatrice T. Kintz, age 88, passed away Wednesday January 15, 2025 at Bethany Nursing Home following a short illness. She was born in Canton on February 24,1936 to the late, Antonio and Blanche (Arias) Regueira, but lived in Massillon for her early years. Bea was a proud 1954 graduate of Massillon High School where she played basketball, softball and played French Horn in the marching band. She married her husband, Wayne H.J. "Pete" Kintz November 15, 1958 and they celebrated 39 years together until his death in 1998. Bea was an avid sports fan, especially with her favorite teams. She followed the Cleveland Indians (never the Guardians to her) beginning in 1946 and still kept the box score for them through last season. She also loved her Massillon Tiger football team, both OSU and Notre Dame college teams (she would have loved the National Championship Game this year). She was a die hard fan of the Cleveland Browns and you knew never to sit beside her when they were playing. Besides her favorite teams, she rooted for anyone who played against the Ravens.
Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by an infant brother, Anthony; sister, Blanche (Dennis) Gleason and great grandson, Tyrese Shaneyfelt.
Bea is survived by daughters, Terri (Steve) Belopotosky, Debbie Floyd and a son, Wayne (Eileen Julian) Kintz; grandchildren, Steve (Kristen) Belopotosky, AJ (Kelsi) Belopotosky, Erika (Greg Ferguson) Bradford, Zachary Guster, Lindsey Guster, Teal (Nick Spatharos) Kintz and Katie (Dillon Giardini) Kintz; great grandchildren, Abby and Emma Belopotosky, Gabrielle Ferguson, Makayla and Travis Harris, Tommy and Miracle Cleveland, Scarlett Spatharos and Eleni Giardini; sister-in-law, Linda Kintz, many nieces and nephews and her gal pal of over 60 years, Ginnie Carothers.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Bethany Nursing Home and Crossroards Hospice for their care and support during this time.
Her wishes were to be cremated and her cremains will be buried at Sunset Hills Burial Park. A private family gathering will be held. Reed Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements and you are invited to visit www.reedfuneralhome.com to share condolences and fond memories.
