TOMS RIVER - BEATRICE JUDITH "JUDY" STONE passed away on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at Brandywine Living at Reflections in Brick. She was 86 years old.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, to Charles and Rose (née Smith) Friedman, she resided there, before moving to East Brunswick, NJ where she raised her family., and finally retiring to Monroe Township, NJ.
She began her career working at the Federal Reserve in NY. When her children were grown, she owned and operated her own keypunch business. Judy then worked in Human Resources for Telcordia Technologies in Piscataway for 20 years, before retiring in 2012.
She was a lover of theater and travel. Being the life of the party, Judy energized many a mah-jongg game with her friends. Most of all she looked forward to being with her family.
Judy is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Rose Friedman; and her brother, Robert Friedman.
Surviving are her son, Adam Belitz and his wife, Audrey, of Toms River; her daughters, Lisa Beach and her husband, Larry, of Toms River, Shari Henry of North Brunswick; her six grandchildren, Emily Brogan and her husband, Ryan, Kyle Keenan, Madison Henry, Jack Henry, Morgan Belitz, Sydney Belitz; and her two great-grandchildren, Adalyn Keenan and Declan Keenan.
A chapel service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, at 11:45 am, at MOUNT SINAI MEMORIAL CHAPELS, 454 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Interment will follow at United Hebrew Cemetery, Staten Island, NY. For directions, please visit our "Services" page.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in honor of Judy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
