Beau Hooper Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by John M. Ireland & Son Funeral Home and Chapel on Apr. 10, 2025.
Beau Hooper, affectionately known to many as the "Hillbilly Mob Boss," passed away on April 8, 2025, leaving behind a legacy full of laughter, love, and unapologetic individuality.
Beau was a big, goofy, funny guy who never missed a chance to crack a joke or share a cold beer. Whether he was under the hood of a car, lining up a shot on the pool table, or cooking up something he swore was gourmet, Beau lived life on his own terms. He had a lifelong passion for motorcycles and a deep love of history.
A true movie buff, Beau had an appreciation for everything from classic karate flicks and gangster movies to dumb comedies and horror marathons. His TV time was filled with adult cartoons-he loved Bob's Burgers, South Park, and Family Guy-and the soundtrack to his life was pure '90s grunge: Pantera, Pearl Jam, and even a little Smash Mouth.
He proudly attended Noble High School and later retired from the oil field industry, where he worked hard and made lifelong friends.
Above all, Beau's heart belonged to his family. His children were his pride and joy: Blake Hooper, Savannah Hooper, Blaine Mayfield, Aubree Hooper, and Bill Hooper. He cherished every moment spent with his beloved granddaughter, Persephone Freeman-Hooper, and often spoke fondly of his grandparents, Bill and Vada, who helped shape the man he became. His bond with his sister, Sarah Lynn Hooper, and his mother, Reth Kathryn Wright, remained strong throughout his life. He was also deeply loved by his aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Beau was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Hooper, and by Maria Wiley, the love of his life.
He leaves behind a world that was brighter, louder, and funnier because he was in it. Whether you knew him as a jokester, a history buff, a loving dad, or simply Beau-he'll be missed beyond words.
