Becky Eckert

Becky (Shetler) Eckert, 80, of Evansville, passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021 at her son Benjamin's home. She was born July 18, 1941 in Evansville to the late Joseph and Martha (Freeman) Shetler.
Becky graduated from Memorial High School in 1959. She was a receptionist at Ethan Allen Furniture for over twenty years. Becky also worked at McMurty Martin Paper Company, Creasey Company and Telisis Communications Company. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Lady Elks and Eagles Country Club. Becky loved spending time with her grandchildren, doing crossword puzzles and playing solitaire.
She is survived by her husband, Jerry Lee Eckert of 58 years; daughters, Suzanne (Brent) Robertson of Houston, TX and Sherri Lee Eckert of Evansville; sons, Gilbert A. Eckert of Evansville and Benjamin J. (Veronica) Eckert of Newburgh; grandchildren, Corey, Bailey, Erin, Tru, Ava, Bryce and Ilana; twin great granddaughters, Elizabeth and Everleigh; twin brother, Bob (Candy) Shetler; and sister, Suzy Welborn both of Evansville.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by her brothers, Tom and Joe Shetler.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday, November 1, 2021 at Ziemer Funeral Home East Chapel, 800 S. Hebron Ave., Evansville. Funeral service will begin at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Father Bernie Etienne officiating.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
