Born November 15, 1947, in Edgefield County, she was a daughter of the late Collier Edward and Eloise Rowe Hammond. She was retired from Dianes Creations of McCormick.
A member of Buffalo Baptist Church, she was also a member of the Golden Girls.
Surviving are a son, Anthony Craig Lawton of Plum Branch; a daughter, Karen Lawton of the home; two grandchildren, Dianna Odom Scruggs (Brad) of Greenwood and Amanda Shroyer of Plum Branch; and a great grandson, Kaden Scruggs.
No services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of the Piedmont, 408 W. Alexander Ave., Greenwood, S 29646.
