BECKY "MEME" ZACHGO, age 71 of Mt. Juliet, passed peacefully on January 2, 2024.
Becky was born on March 15, 1952, in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Later in life, she resided in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. One thing about Becky that was known, was she absolutely adored her family, and her grandpuppies! It was her pride and joy to watch her granddaughter, Sydney, play college softball with her team at Trevecca Nazarene University. Her life revolved around her sweet family, nothing in this world made her happier than being by their side. Becky's baking skills were amazing, one of her famous dishes she baked was her peanut brittle. Aside from baking, her other hobbies included going out to eat with friends and getting pedicures, she was also an honorary member of the Nashville Corvette club. Above all, she loved the Lord. She was a member of Generation Changers in Donelson, where she loved serving the church, attending services, and women's group. Becky was a remarkable individual who always put others before herself. Her kind-hearted nature was evident in every aspect of her life. She was the BEST hugger. Every time you would tell her you loved her, she would say, "I love you more."
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mary Lou Houchins. She is survived by her loving daughter, Sandy (Dan) Shelton; and her precious granddaughter, Sydney McCormick.
The Funeral Services will be held at Generation Changers Church, 224 Stewarts Ferry Pike Nashville, TN 37214. The Visitation will be held on Friday, January 5, 2024, from 3-7pm and again on Saturday, January 6, 2024, from 11-1pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 1pm. The Honorary Pallbearers are Dan Shelton, Jim McCormick, Alex Dillard, Micheal Johnson, Keith Sensing, and Blake Belford.
The family is requesting all memorial donations be sent to Generation Changers Church, 224 Stewarts Ferry Pike Nashville, TN 37214, in memory of "Meme."
