Bedford "Rick" Dulworth, 74, of Jeffersonville, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on November 14, 2025. Born on March 14, 1951, in Muncie, Indiana, he was the son of J.D. Dulworth and Genevia Buck (Williams).
Rick lived a life defined by curiosity, craftsmanship, and quiet joy. Over the years, he worked in many trades-from dog grooming to typesetting-and found true satisfaction in any job that allowed him to work with his hands. He loved road trips to unknown destinations, walks in the park with his dogs, cowboy shows, and the soothing rhythm of smooth jazz. Above all, Rick was happiest at home, enjoying the peaceful company of his beloved wife and a faithful dog on his lap.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Connie, and their dog Q-Tip; his son Darin Dulworth of Petersburg, IN; brothers Delmer (Elizabeth) Dulworth of Denver, IN, and Kelly (Kelly) Dulworth of Eaton, IN; sister-in-law Bonnie (Rodger) First of Brooks, KY; brother-in- law Donnie (Brenda) Abell of Louisville, KY; several grandchildren; and a special nephew, James (Carrie) Dulworth of Sheridan, Indiana, and niece Jessica (Chad) Clark of Omaha, Nebraska, who held a dear place in his heart.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 29, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Endris Lodge at Lapping Park in Clarksville, Indiana. Family and friends are invited to share memories and celebrate Rick's life and legacy.
Rick will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle humor, and the deep love he shared with those closest to him. His spirit lives on in the laughter, music, and simple joys he so cherished.
In lieu of flowers, donations to any local animal shelter or animal cause would surely make him smile from heaven.
The family extends a heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Mark Head, Gentiva Hospice, and their dedicated chaplain George and nurses-Jennifer, Meredith, Carol, and Kayla-whose compassion, presence, and gentle care brought comfort and dignity to Rick in the final chapter of his life. Their kindness will never be forgotten.
