Belgrabe "Ben" Cabrera, Jr., 52, lifelong resident of Brownfield, passed away suddenly on Monday, August 11, 2025. He was born on October 17, 1972 to Belgrabe Cabrera and Guadalupe (Rivera) Cabrera. Ben was the man who lived life Big. Always cracking jokes and loved making people smile and laugh. He was a bright light in any room. Ben worked many jobs in life, but most recently he served as a Lubbock County Sheriff Officers, then went into the oilfield. He also loved watching and playing baseball and football, he was a huge A&M Aggies fan. Ben played in the North American Football League. He was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather, and loving "Uncle Buck" and "Uncle B".

Those left to cherish his memory are his father, Belgrabe Cabrera, Sr.; children, Nathan Proctor, Addison Bryce Adams, and Adrianna Morin; siblings, Daniel Cabrera, Dahlia Hood, Delma Tullos (Tom), Emilio Cabrera (Kendra), Dina Cabrera; two grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Ben was preceded in death by his mom, Guadalupe Cabrera; and brother-in-law, Marc Hood.

Memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. ~ 8:00 p.m. at Primera Baptist, 201 N. 5th St. Brownfield, TX. Viewing will be held on Saturday, August 16, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. ~ 11:00 a.m. with funeral service to begin at 11:00 a.m. at Primera Baptist. Burial will follow at Terry County Memorial Cemetery.
