Belinda Mayo "Lin" Roark

Lin Roark, 72, born the 2nd day of February, 1951, and died the 8th day August, 2023 after a brief illness related to an autoimmune disorder. She was preceded in death by her husband of 25 years Judge George James Roark, III and her parents, Ed Mayo and Eloise Morris Mayo.
Lin was a graduate of Woodham High School and received a BA in social work and English from the University of West Florida. She was involved in philanthropic organizations, including Impact100, whose focus is to make a meaningful difference in arts, education, environment, family, and the health of the Pensacola Bay Area. Lin was an adventurous traveler with trips to Bali, Spain, China, Japan, Thailand, Italy, and Alaska. She especially enjoyed travel with her grandsons and was keen to learn as well as immerse herself in the culture.
She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Tammy Bloom, her husband Dr. David Bloom, and three grandchildren Aidan, Zachary and Ryan Bloom, step-son PJ Koll, brother Samuel Mayo and his wife Twana, sister Darline Sandala and her husband Gary, and sister-in-law Patti Roark, nephews Dr. Sean Roark, Devin Roark, Jacob Sandala, Sam Mayo, Ian Skuropat, nieces Kelley Bush, Celena Baquero, Kristina Williams, and Aislinn Skuropat. She will miss her family and friends, especially her grandsons Aidan, Zachary, and Ryan, who were her motivation to remain active, as they were the light of her life.
Visitation for family and friends is set for Wednesday, August 16th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Waters & Hibbert Funeral Home, located at 124 W. Gregory St. Pensacola, FL 32502. Funeral services will be at St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, 3200 N 12th Ave. Pensacola, FL 32503 at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday August 17th. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery at a later date.
