Ben Allen Dozier

Ben Allen Dozier, 61, a native of Evansville, Indiana passed away Friday, November 7, 2025 at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. He was born December 21, 1963 in Hornersville, Missouri to Annie Pearl Dozier Jones and Henry Alvis Dozier. To know Ben Dozier is to smile instantly! Benny. Jet. Ben Ben. Benny and The Jets. Dad. Ben was a chef at Morrison's/Piccadilly Cafeteria and Willow Creek Senior Residence. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. Ben lived a life of laughter, family and love.
Ben is preceded in death by his father, Henry Dozier; stepfather, Casey Jones; sisters; Linda Dozier, LaDonna Niece Jones and Juanita Blackmon; and brothers, Anthony Dozier, Norman Jones and Casey Jones, Jr.
He leaves behind two children; Tabnie and Elyiss Dozier, his affectionate and generous wife Claudia Dozier; his faithful mother, Annie Dozier Jones; sisters, Hope Ellis, Yvette Dozier, Cathy Parker, Millie Thacker and Darla Mae Jones; brothers, Henry Dozier, LeVon Dozier, Patrick Dozier, Ronald Dozier, Otho Jones, Delmonte Jones and Carroll Jones, and a host of nieces, nephews and loved ones in Kentucky, Indiana, and beyond.
When you think of Ben, hopefully a loud and vibrant laugh from deep in your belly comes to mind. As an accomplished chef, avid chess player, Dallas Cowboy and Indiana Hoosier fanatic, his love for community came with a pocket full of jokes and immeasurable amounts of joy. The world is dimmer now that this bright light has been called back home to God. Family members extend their gratitude for the overflowing abundance of cards, flowers, calls, prayers and support.
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 15, 2025 at Memorial Baptist Church, 605 Canal St., Evansville. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. at the church with Reverend LeVon Dozier officiating. Funeral service will be livestreamed and can be viewed on Ben's tribute page at time of event.
