Ben Plato Kuhn, Jr. age 96 passed away on Friday August 23, 2024 at Westlake Woods. He was born in Chicago, IL on August 5, 1928 to the late Ben P. and Eunice V. Ferguson Kuhn.

Ben worked at Carnation Milk Co., High Pressure Co., Lord Corp. and as a machinist for 33 years at Eriez Manufacturing. He served in the US Army during the Korea War, worked part time for the Erie Ambulance Service and a member of the S.O.N.S. of Lake Erie. He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed woodworking, gardening and in his teen years caddying golf.

In addition to his parents, Ben is preceded in death by his wife, Rose Marie Sacchetta Kuhn; his son, Mark A. Kuhn, along with 10 brothers and sisters.

He’s survived by his daughters, Barbara Cmiel (Anthony) of McKean, PA and Judy Schrader (Norman) of Cambridge Springs, PA; grandson, Jerome Jarzomski of Erie; sister, Carolyn Kuhn of Lake City and brother, David Kuhn of Arizona; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Private arrangements have been entrusted to Burton Quinn Scott Cremation & Funeral Services Wintergreen, 2532 Norcross Rd., Erie, PA 16510.
