It was a surprise to learn of Ben´s passing and my sympathy goes to Gail and family on your loss of a fine man, husband, g´pa and off-road motorcycle enthusiast. Ben was a Missouri Mudder volunteer for many years helping with hare scrambles & enduro events for dirt bikes at St Joe State Park. I first met Ben when he worked a checkpoint for the Leadbelt Enduro with best friend Dan Wylie 30-something years ago. When Ben discovered the club needed a replacement tool to support the crew, he created a checkpoint flip chart from metal still in use today at Mudder enduro events. Ben & I competed in several enduros where we always had more fun than success in finishing positions. Ben and son Alan volunteered their talents to lay out and clear trail in advance of an upcoming meet. We thank them for their support.
Ben was a club contributor and known for his smile, good ideas and always having a well-prepped motorcycle. So glad Ben was able to enjoy motorcycles with his sons and grandsons passing the passion to the next generation. Godspeed Ben!

My condolences to the Naes family. Ben and I worked in different departments over the years and was a great person to be around. Always smiling was one of his thing you always noticed. He worked very well with everyone, and never heard anything bad about anyone around him. It was a pleasure knowing him. He was one of a kind!

Sending condolences to the Naes family. I was his manager before his retirement and Ben was a great guy to be around. Ben was extremely knowledgeable about tooling on top of everything else throughout the shop floor. He was a true friend and he will be missed.
