He was preceded in death by his father, Policarpio Amado Cruz Jr.; brother, David Oscar Cruz Sr.; sister, Sylvia Cruz.
He is survived by his children, Krystal Marie Cruz and husband Evan Montes, Benjamin Cruz, Jr. and Andrew Cruz; mother, Andrea Cruz; siblings, Alex Rosales, Irene Speulda, Eva Rodriguez, Nora Villalobos, Peter Cruz, Miguel Cruz, Rubin Cruz, Joel Cruz, and Daniel Cruz; eight grandchildren, Noah I.Cruz, Eesa E.Montes, Ellie M.Cruz, Luna A.Cruz, Andrew K.Cruz, Michael D.Cruz, Policarpio A.Cruz Montes, Mila J. Cruz; along with many nieces and nephews.
Ben had a unique personality, was extremely hospitable and very giving. He was outspoken,
occasionally quiet at times and always there to be of help when needed or asked. He was a son, brother,
father, grandpa, and friend to those who knew and loved him. He loved his family and gave almost
everyone he encountered a new name, including himself, for example, a butler, a concierge and a ranch hand just to name a few. Ben loved cooking out, fishing and listening to heavy metal and
Tejano music. He will be extremely missed.
