He was born on October 22, 1973 in Hillsboro, Wisconsin to Vern and Anne (Paine) Root.
Ben graduated from Indiana Academy of Science, Mathematics, and Humanity.
He worked for Subaru in the maintenance department for 29 years.
Surviving are his mother, Anne Root of Spring Arbor, MI; his children, Samuel K. Root, Katherine Root, and Christopher Root; his siblings, Jonathan Root, Margaret Hinkle, Julia Wildasin, Judith Berry, Sara Haviland, Miriam Lewis, Stephen Root, and Andrew Root. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father, Vern Root and his siblings, Jean Aldrich and Samuel G. Root.
A Service will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Fisher Funeral Chapel at 1 p.m. A live stream of the service can be found on Fisher Funeral Chapel-Lafayette's Facebook page or by clicking on the link below. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
