Benjamin Ray Vasquez, age 32, passed away on December 13, 2023 in Ward County. He was born on September 12, 1991 in Monahans, TX to Reymundo Vasquez and Elsa Ruiz.
Benjamin was very loyal and a hard worker. He was known as the handsome son who always wore nice clothes and loved to take care of his appearance. Benjamin always had a smile and
enjoyed helping others and doing charity work. He was a big Baltimore Ravens fan and loved fast cars. He will be dearly missed.
Benjamin is survived by his wife: Nibia Bonilla of Kermit, TX; parents: Reymundo Vasquez and Elsa Ruiz and step-dad Ray Cordova, all of Rainville, NM; step-daughter: Ashten Bonilla; brothers: Jaime Vasquez of Rainsville, NM, Nicolas Vasquez, and Raymundo Vasquez and wife Cocoa Garza, all of Kermit, TX; sister: Alexandrea Ruiz and husband Royce Castagna of New York, NY; aunts and uncles: David and Mandy Morales and their family, Emily, Kalie, Kloe, and David Jr. of Odessa, TX; nephews: Zander Zane Vasquez, Darian Vela, Zack Garza, Eliseo Bonilla, and Emillian Bonilla; nieces: Mikaela Bonilla, Titi Bonilla, Olivia Bonilla, and Gaby Bonilla; in-laws: Irma and Ramon Bonilla; and brothers-in-law: Monchi Bonilla and wife Sandra, Baudi Bonilla, Adrian Bonilla and wife Mori, and Javier Bonilla and wife Noemi.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother: Vickie Ruiz; child: Baby Vasquez; cousin: Alecia Lara, and special friend: Rolando Rivera.
A rosary will be held at 7:00 pm Monday, December 18, 2023 at Family Services Funeral Chapel in Kermit. A funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at St. Thomas/St. Joseph Catholic Church officiated by Father Charles Rajan. Burial will follow at Kermit Cemetery. Pallbearers will include: Jaime Vasquez, Nicolas Vasquez, Raymundo Vasquez, Monchi Bonilla, Ruben Muniz, and Reymundo Vasquez. Honorary Pallbearers will be "Champ" Barrera, Jeremy Vela, Adolfo Pargas, Michael Orona, and the employees of Jasper Ventures.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
