Bennett P. Woveras, 60, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023, at his home. The love of his life, Jessica Knapp, and his family were at his side. Ben was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer five years ago. Ben's story is an inspiration as he defied the odds again and again and again. His attitude during this time was to stay positive, no negativity and lots of humor. His strength and resilience were legendary.
Ben was born January 24, 1963, the son of Rodney and Lois (Kohlhagen) Woveras. Ben loved his family very much. Jessica and her two daughters, Morgan and Brittany were everything to him. He cared very deeply for his parents, sisters and brothers. Every family gathering was full of laughs with Ben’s timely sense of humor.
Ben was a storyteller. He enjoyed people and he loved to hear their stories. He had an excellent memory, but sometimes a story's details changed and a more engaging story was created. Ben had an interest in cars from a very young age and owned many throughout the years. He enjoyed hunting with his dad, brothers and friends. Another hobby included his time in the kitchen or behind the grill. He mastered a chop suey recipe and was the lead griller for Morgan’s memorial benefits.
Ben graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1981. He worked at Fasse Paint, Taylor Trucking, Crystal Lake Sand and Gravel, NBS Services and Falls Uptown Motors. Ben's knowledge, resourcefulness and knack for troubleshooting was appreciated throughout his career. Being a collector of many things, he had the tools, parts and ability to get through any task. Many people are thankful for the times they can remember Ben lending a helping hand and making our lives better.
Ben was happiest when we were all laughing. It was all about having fun.
Ben is survived by his girlfriend, Jessica Knapp and her daughter, Brittany Knapp; his sisters: Barbara (Terry) Marten, Bonnie Woveras, Brenda (Craig) Woveras-Schueffner; sister-in-law, Susan Woveras; his nieces and nephews: Brian (Jessica Hoffmann) Woveras, Julie (Mark) Pool, Sarah (Kevin) Fidler, Anthony Woveras, Amy Marten, Kyle (Elli) Marten, Beth Schueffner, Kristen Schueffner and Andrew Schueffner; his great-nieces and nephews: Samantha Fidler, Elizabeth Fidler, Ellis Woveras, Evelyn Woveras and Jacob Pool; Jessica's parents, Ken and Judy Kuntz. Ben is also survived by many great friends.
Ben was preceded in death by his parents, Rodney and Lois Woveras, his brothers Brian Woveras and Brad Woveras, Jessica's daughter, Morgan Knapp and niece Tricia Woveras.
