Bennie was born May 21, 1930 in Vergas, Minnesota to parents, Emil and Erna (Zitzow) Rosentreter. He served 2 years in the Army and later, on June 23, 1956 was united in marriage to Lois Benke. Bennie was a proud member of the Lions Club in North St. Paul as well as Lindstrom. He enjoyed spending time with his family and fishing on the lake.
Bennie is survived by his children, Perry (Kathleen) Rosentreter, Shelley (Donovan) Karg, Julie (John) Fisher, and Doug (Donna) Rosentreter; sister-in-law, Susan Gerds; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Lois, of 68 years; parents; brothers Harry, Alvin, and Melvin; and sisters, Adaline, Gertrude, Dorothy, Betty and Violet.
Memorial service to take place 11:00 AM Friday, September 12, 2025 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lindstrom, Minnesota. Visitation one hour prior. Burial to take place at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
