"Berney" Bernadette C. (Drury) Woodworth, age 65, formerly of Hyde Park, passed away peacefully in her home in Canton, MA on October 8th, 2023.
Bernadette was the loving wife of James Woodworth, beloved mother of Sarah, James and Jennifer Woodworth, and adored nana of Zachary, Ava, Brea and Chloe.
Treasured daughter of Ann and the late Micheal Drury.
Devoted sister of John, Micheal, Noel, Jimmy and Brian Drury and Ann Bishop.
Cherished lifelong best friend of Ellen (Conti) Irabino. Berney also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews & friends.
Bernie had been married to her best friend and loving husband Bucky for 43 years. They spent their younger years going to concerts, camping, canoeing and sharing their lives together. To know Berney was to love Berney. Everyone wanted to be her friend and she in turn was everyone's friend.
Her family, friends, children and grandchildren were her pride and greatest joy. She loved having her grandchildren over for sleepovers and cooking big meals for her family to enjoy.
Berney's house was the house were everyone was welcome at the table to share a meal.
She will forever be deeply loved and missed by all you knew her.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, October 18th from 5-8pm at Dockray and Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton, MA 02021. A brief prayer service officiated by Rev. Bob Greiner will follow visiting hours at 8 pm.
