BURLEY – Bernard "Bernie" Lawrence Allshouse, age 63, of Burley, gained his wings the morning of Saturday, June 1, 2024, with his wife and daughters by his side.
He was born on April 10, 1961, in Powell, Wyoming to Lawrence Pete Allshouse and Dorothy Carol Smith. On June 16, 1979, he married Christine Green of Burley, Idaho. Together they had four daughters and later in life took guardianship of their oldest grandson. Bernard spent much of his life in the transportation field doing both long and short-haul truck driving. In 2011, his dream of owning his own company came true. He was able to purchase his semi-truck and two trailers.
Bernard lived a simple life. He loved putting model semi-trucks together. He absolutely loved being a Papa. He loved spending time with his grandkids. He had so much love for his grandkids. He would do just about anything for them. He will be greatly missed by those who dearly loved him.
He is survived by his best friend of 45 years, Christine; his children, Bridgett (Robert) Brazington, Shiann Allshouse, Amber Allshouse, Ivy Campbell and Destree Allshouse; his mother-in-law, Ellen Jo Green of Burley, Idaho; 14 grandchildren, (Tobra, Brodee, Braylee, Brynne, Naithyn, Ryker, Danika, Teigan, Coralee, Abriella, Kaiden, Kayson, Emma and Delilah); siblings, Ronald (Mariel) Allshouse, Mary Lou Allshouse, Shirley (Al) Eskelson, Kenneth (Delores) Allshouse, Lanier Allshouse, and Laura Allshouse; and many nieces, nephews and friends
He was preceded in death by his dad, Lawrence Allshouse; mother, Dorothy Smith; father-in-law, Vernon Green; siblings, Daniel Allshouse, Shirley Evans, Dorothy Evans, Sydney Evans Jr, and Marilyn Westmoreland; and several uncles, aunts; nieces, and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11a.m. Friday, June 21, at Rasmussen-Wilson Funeral Home located at 1350 East 16th Street, in Burley with Leonard Beck officiating. Family and friends will be received from 10 until 10:45 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at the View Cemetery located at 600 S. 700 E. in Burley.
