Bernard R. Crow age 95, of Beaver, WV formerly of Moundsville, WV passed away Friday, November 17, 2023 at Bower's Hospice House, Beckley, WV.
He was born February 17, 1928 at home in Marshall County, Glen Easton, WV the son of the late Oscar and Laura Bartrug Crow.
Bernard was a member of The Carriage Drive Church of Christ in Beckley, WV. A prior member of the Cedar Avenue Church of Christ in Moundsville where he belonged for over 50 years having served as an elder on two occasions for 34 years.
Bernard preached the Gospel for many congregations up and down the Ohio Valley, including 3 years at the Wellsburg Church of Christ and 6 years at the McMechen Church of Christ.
He retired from Berry Supply Corporation in Wheeling where he worked for over 33 years, and was a US Army Veteran having served from 1948 to 1950 at Aberdeen Ground in Maryland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Maxine (Harris) Crow; a son, Michael "Mike" Crow and his wife, Colleen (Clark) Crow; two brothers, Raymond (Mary) Crow and Sherwood (Goldie) Crow; two sisters, Leota (Brooks) Allen and Evelyn (Jack) West; and a step daughter, Amy Myers.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years, Karen (Taylor-Myers) Crow; two step sons, Edward (Angela) Myers and Kenneth "Boone" (Lila) Myers all of VA; three step daughters, Rebecca (David) Teel of AZ, Jaunita (Brian) Baker of Beaver, WV, and Crystal (Paul) Shockley of Sardis, OH; two grandchildren; six great grandchildren; 15 step grandchildren; and ten step great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Grisell Funeral Home & Crematory, 400 Jefferson Ave., Moundsville where funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11am with Evangelist Brian Price officiating.
Interment will follow in Salem Cemetery, Glen Easton, WV.
