Bernard "Bud" Marren 88, passed peacefully in Aurora, IL on January 21, 2025 at Rush Copley Hospital from complications due to a stroke and dementia. Bud was born November 25th, 1936 in Chicago, IL. He was a graduate of St. Willibrord High School and a retired Pipe Fitter from local 597. Formerly from Chicago, Evergreen Park, and Somonauk. Beloved husband of the late Nancy nee Marc.
Father of Russ (Jeanne), MaryAnn Hollenback, Kevin (Jennifer) and Christine Rizzo. Grandfather of Eric (Fiancé Victoria), Michael, Sean, Conor, Gianna and Joseph. Cherished brother of the late Joe (the late Mary), John (Mary), and Eileen (Dan)O'Grady. Beloved brother-in-law to Sue (the late Terry) Klemmer and Virginia (the late Jim) Neuman. Dear uncle, cousin, and friend to many.
Bud was an avid dog lover and enjoyed going to car shows and attending church.
He will now be reunited with his wife and mother (who he has been waiting to meet).
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Somonauk, IL. Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Somonauk, IL on Friday, January 24, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. with Father Joseph Naill officiating. Burial will follow at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
