Bernice (Frenchick) Crocker, 88, of Loyalhanna, passed peacefully away on Monday, February 5, 2024 at her home.
Born June 23, 1935 in Loyalhanna, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Frances (Woitkowiak) Frenchik.
Bernice was a member of St. Rose Church. Prior to her retirement, she was employed at the Derry Area School District with 24 years of service. She enjoyed gambling, playing cards, sewing, and traveling.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert A. Crocker; a daughter, Pamela M. Crocker; a grandson, Curtis Chappell; five brothers, Lawrence "Punch" Frenchick, Andrew, Carl, William, and infant John Frenchik.
Bernice is survived by four sons, Bob Crocker (Kim) of Latrobe, Tom Crocker (Pattie) of Latrobe, Bill Crocker (Margaret) of Blairsville, and Ron Crocker (Betty) of Derry; one daughter, Janice Johnson (Dan) of Latrobe; one sister, Frances Gruska (Stanley) of Blairsville; seven grandchildren, Anthony (Amanda), Scott (Cassie), Michael, Paige (Nathan), Emma, Maria, and Julie; and six great-grandchildren, Brycen, Caleb, Vada, Axton, Aylin, and Bodi.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to her niece, Sally Loftus and Pattie McCracken for the loving care they provided.
Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at the Lopatich-Brinker Funeral Home, LLC, 601 Weldon Street, Latrobe. The St. Rose Rosary Altar Christian Mothers will recite the Rosary at 1:30 pm Wednesday in the funeral home. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 am Thursday at St. Rose Church with the Rev.
