Bernice Donoro Obituary

Bernice Reilly Donoro, 86, of Cape Canaveral, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 10, 2025. She was born in Staten Island, New York, the oldest of three children, and moved to Florida in 1977 to build a new life filled with faith, family, and creativity.

Bernice was known for her unwavering resilience and remarkable strength. Widowed at just 29, she faced life's greatest challenges with courage and determination as she raised five children on her own. Her children remember her as a woman of deep faith and steadfast love-an example of grace in the face of adversity.

A gifted artist, Bernice found joy and purpose in drawing and painting, turning her talent into a fulfilling career. She also held a passion for travel, exploring countries around the world. She spoke often of her cherished trip to Israel.

Bernice's faith played a central role throughout her life. She was an active and devoted member of Park Avenue Baptist Church for many years, and after moving to Cape Canaveral, she attended Calvary Chapel in Merritt Island, where she continued to grow in fellowship and community. She formed close bonds with the ladies in her Bible study and treasured those friendships deeply.

The Christmas season held a special place in her heart. One of her most beloved traditions was taking her granddaughters to see The Nutcracker every year-memories they will forever hold close. Bernice also loved her dogs, including her most recent companion, Pippy, who brought her great comfort and joy.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Joseph Donoro; her son, Joseph Donoro; and her brothers, Fred and Dan Reilly.

She is survived by her children: Debbie Dibble, Bernice Estep, Thomas Donoro, and Daniel Donoro; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren, and 4 nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens on Monday, December 15, 2025, at 12:00 PM.

Bernice will be remembered for her faith, her artistry, her adventurous spirit, and the deep love she had for her family. Her legacy lives on in all who knew and loved her.
